Here is a deciduous tree that has the potential to become extremely large, reaching a height of over 200 feet, but more on an average of 30-100 feet. The straight, cylindrical bole can be 40-120 inches in diameter, is usually spiny, and have massive attractive buttresses.
It is native to Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, northern South America, and tropical west Africa. A very sacred, multipurpose tree with a wide range of uses for the local population. It is especially valued for its silky cotton fiber that is produced within its fruit, but also supplies foods, medicines and many other commodities. It has become naturalized in many other parts of the tropical world as an amazing ornamental and often grown as a bonsai.
The creamy white to pink flowers are an important source of nectar and pollen for honey bees. Its wood is lightweight and porous which is good for making carvings, coffins and dugout canoes. The silky fibers that disperse the seeds are too small for weaving but make great stuffing for bedding, cushions, plush animals and life preservers. Prolonged exposure to harvesting these fibers can cause irritation to the eyes, nose and throat.
The bark decoction has been used as a diuretic, aphrodisiac, and to treat headache, as well as type II diabetes. It is used as an additive in some versions of the psychedelic drink Ayahuasca.
The seeds produce a vegetable oil that resembles cottonseed oil, and is also used in soap and fertilizers. It does have some potential as a biofuel and in paint preparation. The seeds, and the oil, do contain cyclopropenoid fatty acids which cause abnormal physiological reactions in animals. Therefore the consumption of kapok seeds or seed oil should be discouraged unless the cyclopropenoid acids have been chemically removed.
It is intolerant of frost. Best sited in moist well drained soils in full sun. Water needs vary during the year. Trees appreciate abundant moisture during their vegetative period, but prefer much less moisture in winter during the dry season (December – February in southern Florida) when trees have lost most of their leaves or are deciduous. Flowers typically begin blooming in February near the end of the dry season, followed by fruiting. New foliage typically begins to appear shortly after flowering. USDA zone 10-12
**This is not to be confused with the RED silk cotton Kapok tree, that is from the genus Bombax, species ceiba. Both are from the family Malvaceae. We also offer the seeds to Bombax ceiba (Red silk cotton) here in our store.
This offer is for 15 seeds.

yoga socks
I’m a weirdo and don’t like to walk around barefoot. So, these help me feel like I’ve got socks on while allowing my toes to breathe. I just wear them around the house. They can work as flipflop socks for a quick trip to the mailbox.
I do like to randomly hit the occasional yoga pose so the grippiness is helpful in that regard. I have wide feet and have not found the toe openings to be tight or any other fit problems. So far they have survived standard machine washing.Unfortunately, when I first tried on a pair, the material started to rip. I wear a 7-7.5 shoe size. I think these are made for smaller feet. The material is thin and doesn't stretch. The colors are pretty and it's a good price. I have to return them due to being too small. If you have smaller feet, they are worth trying.

My Favorite Style of Yoga Socks — I Love These
There are so many types of yoga socks out there, but this style is my absolute favorite. These toeless yoga socks are perfect: no individual toe slots, crew‑length coverage, and solid grippies on the bottom. I love them so much. They stay put, they feel great, and they give me the barefoot freedom I want without slipping around on the mat. Total win.

Great find!
I used this on a prom bouquet and it came out beautiful. Soft dainty sparkles for the perfect shimmer. A convenient small aerosol container that I gave to my son’s girlfriend in case she wanted to touch it up or use it herself. I love the fact that it’s still stuck on my crafting desk. Very affordable and it served its purpose plus some!

The ultimate festival glow in a bottle!
**5.0 out of 5 stars - The ultimate festival glow in a bottle!**
If you want to be seen from space (in the best way possible), this holographic silver spray is exactly what you need. I bought this for a rave, and it exceeded all my expectations. Unlike other glitters that just look like silver specks, this has a true holographic finish that catches the light and shifts colors beautifully every time you move.
The "quick-drying" claim is no joke. I was worried about it feeling sticky or transferring onto my clothes, but it set in about 60 seconds and stayed put. I sprayed it on my hair, my collarbones, and even over my makeup, and it lasted through hours of dancing without fading or raining down "glitter snow" all over the floor.
I also love how fine the mist is. It’s a very even, shimmering distribution rather than big, chunky blobs of glitter, which makes it look much more high-end. It washes out of hair and off the skin surprisingly easily with just standard soap and water, too. If you’re looking for that perfect, effortless sparkle for a concert or party, this is the one to get. Just a fair warning: once you start spraying, you'll probably want to cover everything in it!
